This became a “labor of love.” I specifically purchased the equipment to digitize these cassettes into mp3s only to find out the audio tape had separated from the lead tape on two of the cassettes. I bought blank cassettes and proceeded to take apart the original audio cassettes and transfer the tape over to the new cassettes while connecting the tape to the leader with literal scotch tape. It was enough so that I could convert the cassette audio to digital. I then used noise reduction liberally to remove as much of the hiss as I could that would accompany the audio on a cassette manufactured and engineered almost 30 years ago.
